Granville Island Intimate Engagement
The evening after the Vancouver Sun Run, Kim + Mao had a portrait session on Granville Island. After what was a confusing weather day to say the least, the sun graced us with its presence. I’m definitely looking forward to their wedding at Furry Creek in September!
White Rock Intimate Engagement
This engagement session took place on a sunny evening in White Rock. It was early March but felt like the begninning of summer!
Cityscape Intimate Portrait
The following set of images are from a portrait session with two good friends of mine, Brett and Pierce. We didn’t have too much time to shoot together, but I am really happy with the images that we created. The light was beautiful for what is a usually grim time in March; that, in combination with their killer style and good looks, this session was adorably bad-ass.

Random Fact of the Day: I have a black belt in Meibukan Goju Ryu Karate – the same style practiced in the original Karate Kid movies.. random I know..
Where does this lead us? This is how I met Jessica, through my sister, who also has a black belt in karate. Don’t mess with us. 
Fast forward to Jessica and Peter. When I heard they wanted me as their photographer for their wedding, I was stoked. These two are awesome, and we had a blast at Lighthouse Park in North Vancouver. The wedding is in a little over a week away and I am ready to smash it. HI YA!

Granville Island is a place where engagement sessions take place frequently, to the point where it can be challenging to be unique and stray away from what has been done before… but when you have couples that just let go and don’t hold back in front of the camera, it doesn’t matter what location you are in… great shots are inevitable!

kristal + makis | greece engagement.
Kristal is from Vancouver. Makis is from Corfu. How did these two end up meeting, falling in love and getting married in Corfu, Greece? More on that later. 
It was two days before the wedding, and a busy day of preparing for Kristal’s “Krevati” or “Making the Bed Ceremony” as well as getting the final touches ready for the big day. We managed to find an hour amongst the craziness to stroll through Kouramades, a small village in Corfu, and take some pictures!
