I met Christine just over a year ago. In that short span of time, she has showed me what it takes to give back to those in need, the necessity of a drive and ambition, and the importance to always dream. Please take the time to look through the following images and words. I hope it can inspire you.

At the beginning of December I had the pleasure of shooting images for Tyrell Witherspoon and his Scorpio EP.

Going into 2012, I had no idea what to expect. Sure it has been a year of many ups and downs – more downs than ups it often felt like… but the good kicked its ass. Hard.
The following shots are some of my favourite images from a Playland engagement session while assisting Michael Wachinak!

Sometime around the end of September I was on vacation in sunny San Diego, sipping on a slushy, marveling at the giraffes, losing my mind seeing the giant panda bears eating grass and basically loving the fact I was wearing a tank top and shorts in fall. Being the tailend of my little getaway, it was turning out to be the perfect day… up until I got a text saying that Jayna Marie and Rey needed a photographer for their wedding that was a little over two weeks away – the day got even better.

Brendan is usually behind the camera filming, editing, producing, directing, creating… He wanted to get in front of the camera and start building up a portfolio and asked me if I could take some shots for him.
As a wedding photographer, you deal with people that are that aren’t professional models, and might be less than enthusiastic to step in front of the lens. It is my job to not only help them look their best, but feel their best on top of everything. Doing shoots like this really help me to build confidence in myself at directing what exactly it is I want and having my ideas and visions come into fruition.
Brendan and I walked through Gastown in downtown Vancouver. We traversed through grungy alley ways and creepy parking lots in search of some nice light. In the end, I think we created some epic stuff. Brendan, you rock dude.
