Indian weddings are full of culture. They can be week long events that celebrate families getting together and partying until the sun goes down. It is a sensory overload filled with amazing food, music and emotions – these are some of the many reasons why capturing Indian weddings is something I love to do.

The following images were taken while second shooting for Tomasz Wagner | Mananetwork during one day, of a five day wedding. The thing I love the most about Indian weddings is that it is a sensory overload – the colors, smells, energry, sounds and emotions are really evident during these events.
Oh, and the food. I love the food.
Going into 2012, I had no idea what to expect. Sure it has been a year of many ups and downs – more downs than ups it often felt like… but the good kicked its ass. Hard.
Wednesday, November 28th marked the 3rd Annual Professional BC Wedding Awards. Last year I had the privilege of attending as a guest for the first time, not really knowing anyone in the industry (except for Michael Wachniak, who thankfully invited me!).. but what a difference a year can make! I’ve been lucky to get to know some talented individuals throughout this year and a lot of them have become great mentors and friends.
Here are a handful of my favourite images from this engagement party turned suprise wedding atop the Shangri-La Hotel. Thank you to Michael Wachniak for having me along!
The following images are a handful of my favourite shots while assisting the ever talented photographer slash pizza eater, Michael Wachniak.
Jessica and Peter (see their engagement at Lighthouse Park HERE) celebrated their wedding in the Queen’s Park Rose Garden in New Westminster. We then headed to Whytecliff Park for portraits. Beautiful people, beautiful day.
Thanks to Michael Wachniak for shooting with me. Boom.
This wedding has been featured on Tutu & Fru! Check out the post here:
The following images are from a wedding I assisted Sachin Khona with at Queen Elizabeth park. When he asked me to come along, I jumped at the chance and was so honored as I found it very important personally that I be a part of a wedding like this. I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity, and it is a day I’ll remember for a very long time.
After 13 years of being together, Rob + Russell travelled to Vancouver, a city they call one of their favourites in the world, all the way from Australia to elope in an intimate ceremony witnessed by family and friends from from different parts of the globe.
I hope by looking at these images, you can feel emotion that everyone else experienced that day.
Last time I saw Chris and Helen was when I shot their engagement session in Steveston. On their Friday wedding day in August they were just as gorgeous and were wed at the beautiful Hycroft Manor in front of family and friends!
Special thanks to the stealthy, yet stylish photo ninja, Tomasz Wagner | Mananetwork for helping me out!
