Nina and Jonathan got married in New Westminster. I now reside in downtown Vancouver, but New Westminster will always be a part of me as it is the place I used to call home and had spent most of my 26 years of life growing up in.
Their wedding was truly a team effort in more ways than one and their vision for a beautiful and intimate wedding was made a reality with the help of their friends and the great community within New Westminster.
A message from the Nina and Jonathan:
“Jonathan and I met in New Westminster where we work, live and play – we love the small town community feel. When we got engaged we never imagined it any other way. We planned out big fat New West wedding in under 3 months. It wouldn’t have happened without the generous help of all the friends we have here. Everyone pitched in and lent their talents and time to make our day perfect. It felt like a big family get together.
Michael and Lindsay, owners of Re-Up BBQ, donated their time and helped us purchase and butcher a beautiful pig. They spent a long evening with us as we butchered it and made it into our lovely wedding dinner (sausages, ham, pork belly and other yummy dishes.)
Natalie Whiteway, our not so secret baker extraordinaire. She made our amazing wedding cake with a lot of sweat and tears involved
River Market allowed us to bring our vision to life in their space.
Five Stones Church and Pastor Jon – saved the day last minute when our original venue didn’t pan out. They are the kindest people and we are so thankful to them.
Wild Rice hosted the Cocktail Hour at the River Market, a fun piece of our wedding – we are so grateful.
Julia Dewhurst from Brick and Mortar Living – Thank you for your design and decorating talents! You made our vision into a reality.
All of our family and friends, put in their time and effort to help us have a perfect day.
